People say you change when you hit puberty, but I changed more than most. I gained awesome powers, particularly the ability to draw on life energy to boost my physical abilities.
But there is always a cost.
I can hear a voice in my head that urges me to use them more and more; however, using my powers can harm those around me. So I hold back. I am fairly certain that my uncle had these powers before me, and his murder is still unsolved.
So doomed if I do, doomed if I don’t.
But I am going to find some way to use my powers to become a hero.
DISCLAIMER: This episode was our test-run for the podcast. I’m using a $20 microphone, Alan’s using his built-in laptop microphone, and we recorded through Discord. The audio quality of the session may not be the greatest, but it does improve in Issue No. 6 forward. The post-recorded intro segments are a much better reflection of how our podcast currently sounds.
