Depending on what you consider the definition of an album or mixtape or studio playlist is.. For All The Dogs is the 8th solo studio album from Drake? 9th studio album? Irrelevant.
Toronto’s own Aubrey Graham, better known to the world as Drake, has been doing everything he possibly can to stay on top of the music industry. Seemingly dropping at least one to two projects a year for the last four years in a row, AND publishing his own poetry book “Titles Ruin Everything”, Drake has been showing no signs of loosening his grip on mainstream hip hop and mainstream pop music. In 2023, he’s throwing himself back into the fold with his newest studio album, For All The Dogs.
With 23 tracks (not counting the extra 6 tracks that just dropped last week), and the cover art provided by his own son Adonis, For All The Dogs fills its 1 hour and 25 minute run-time with loads of wavy production and features ranging from popular newcomers (Yeat, Sexyy Red, Teezo Touchdown) and some more familiar names (21 Savage, J. Cole, SZA, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Chief Keef, Bad Bunny, Lil Yachty).
Joining us on today’s episode is returning guest and honorary 808’s member, Johan Rodriguez!
Here is our review of Drake’s 2023 full length studio album, For All The Dogs.
