You might be struggling because of the cost of living crisis. You might have been in your job for a while now and have never had a salary review. Or your role may have had extra responsibilities added without an increase in remuneration.

Whatever the situation, approaching your employer for a pay rise can be a difficult and awkward conversation for many workers to initiate.

To help us answer this week's question is Daniel Ough, the founder and principal coach of Sandpiper Coaching and has over 20 years experience in helping people overcome and face career challenges.

Daniel is a well known career expert in the media, and has also been a chartered engineer for 30 years.

52Q is the podcast that looks for answers to the big and little questions of life. Hosted by Steff Willis and Micah Gibson. Justin Rouillon is the executive producer and sound designer. Additional audio production by Joe Murray.

New episodes drop every Monday morning, so make sure you subscribe in your podcast app, and start your week off right with 52Q.
