It's been a storybook season for West Virginia University golf coach Sean Covich. The Mississippi native, hired to restart the Mountaineer program nine years ago, has guided his squad to the championship round of the NCAA tournament.
It's just the second time in school history that a Mountaineer golf team has reached this round. The only other time it happened was 1947. So, yeah, it's a big deal.
