The last 72 hours in the Cleveland Pro Sports news cycle have been CRAZY! Let's start with Myles Garrett. The reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year let it be known that he's not down with sticking around for a rebuild. "I'm not trying to rebuild. I'm trying to win right now. And I want that to be apparent when the season is over, and we have those discussions. I want them to be able to illuminate, illustrate that for me so that can be something I can see in the near future. Because that's all we want to do." "I want to stay loyal to a team that showed loyalty to me and faith in me by drafting me. But we have to do, at the end of the day, what's best for us. Myles Garrett has put the Cleveland Browns on notice, and only time will tell whether the Haslam family is willing to call Garrett's bluff. The Cleveland Guardians made some moves as well. The team traded Josh Naylor to the Arizona Diamondbacks. In return, the Guardians got back Slade Cecconi and a competitive-balance Round B pick. Cecconi was 2-7 in 2024 with a 6.66 ERA. Yikes. The Guardians also brought back Carlos Santana on a one-year $12M deal. The Cleveland Browns fell to 3-12 after losing to the Bengals 24-6. Dorian Thompson-Robinson threw for 157 yards and two interceptions and had just 15 passing yards in the first half. Kevin Stefanski said after the game that DTR will start next week against the Miami Dolphins. The Cleveland Cavaliers are the bright spot. A team destined to appear in the Eastern Conference Finals has won five straight games and looks like a well-oiled machine heading into Christmas.
