Kendra was born on a family farm in Oklahoma. Her father left the farm with Kendra and the rest of the family so he could pursue his career dreams, which wasn’t farming. The farm has stayed in the family however to this day. Kendra and her family moved around Oklahoma, Texas and Arkansas finally settling in Lawton, Oklahoma when she was 5. She was raised in Lawton until she graduated High School. She was raised in an extreme cult religion, not allowed to socialize in the secular world, but living in a strict bubble of God and worship. Previous to graduating high school she served as a missionary in Haiti, which was an incredible experience for her. Teaching her resolve, independence and showing her how much inner strength she actually had. It also made her extremely grateful for what she had in life after seeing so much poverty in Haiti.

After high school, she left Oklahoma and religion behind to pursue her dreams. Kendra knew she wanted a career, not just a job, and she had always dreamed of living in NYC and LA. She landed first in New York City for eight years. She attended University there, working many jobs to pay for college, graduated and entered the world of fashion for several years. Longing for a career change and geographical change, Kendra left the fashion industry and New York City and moved to LA.

It was in LA where she started a career that would last decades, moving her to a dozen major cities, with each move a promotion, overseeing over 185 cities in North America in her various regions and territories. She gained considerable success moving up through the ranks of an all-male industry to become an Executive Vice President at two different firms. She understands all too well the difficulties and challenges of working in an all-male dominated industry and the fight that it took to become successful. As a woman and a lesbian her challenges were two-fold and left no room for anything but focus on her career growth, for many years. Through her work she came to love M&As, and became a dynamic public speaker and presenter, as well as a powerful negotiator and deal maker.

He career has afforded her considerable opportunities to meet many, many important and famous people, which has added much color to her life and her book. It was during this career that she worked for a company that was involved in many, many illegal activities. When she discovered these illegal activities, her employer retaliated against her and tried to kill her by poisoning her. Although she did not die, she was left with many long term effects and illnesses from the poisons, including cancer and others described in her book.

Kendra loves bouldering and scrambling in the mountains of Nevada, Arizona and California. A boater for many years, she also loves fast cars, spending time with her family and friends and traveling.
