On today’s episode of The Blindspot , I take a hard look at Trump’s aggressive push to shut down USAID. We’re talking foreign aid from soup to nuts—military, humanitarian, and everything in between. I make my case for foreign aid: part cold realpolitik, part simple truth—sometimes we do good things for the world, and that’s worth doing. I tackle anti-aid arguments ( it’s wasteful, it’s charity ) and explain why we’re not a global charity, nor are we electing Sunday school teachers to hand out free money. Aid serves U.S. interests—and how much we give is a political question. I walk through how I’d recalibrate foreign aid , country by country. Some cuts? Obvious—like aid to North Korea and Cuba. But unlike Trump’s scorched-earth plan, I wouldn’t destroy the system to rebuild it later. I also break down Trump’s possible motives—best and worst-case scenarios—and where we might end up once the dust settles. If you want to understand foreign aid—the good, the bad, and the WTF—this episode is for you.…

"On today’s episode of The Blindspot , I break down Trump’s first few weeks back in office—what’s happened, what it means, and where things might be headed. There’s a lot to cover, and I give my unfiltered take on all of it. Enjoy!"
On today's episode of The Blindspot , I contrast two murders: the assassination of Brian Thomson, CEO of a major insurance company, and the death of Jordan Neely at the hands of Daniel Penny. I explore why Thomson's ideologically motivated killing is unjustifiable under any circumstances, while Penny's actions, driven by immediate events and the intent to protect others, may be excusable. Tune in for a nuanced discussion on morality, motive, and context. Enjoy!…

In this episode, I dive headfirst into President Biden’s controversial pardon of Hunter Biden. I break down the charges—why the gun case reeks of political theater while the tax evasion is serious business—and share why I think Hunter should’ve been thrown to the wolves as a symbolic stand for our norms. Plus, I reflect on Biden’s broken promise not to pardon him, which stings as both nepotism and a blatant lie. From there, I tackle the online reactions, the dangers of echo chambers, and why they poison real-life conversations by turning people into caricatures of their digital bubbles. I highlight a rare moment of global good with the Israel-Hezbollah ceasefire and suggest Hamas take a lesson before time runs out with a more hardline U.S. president. Then, it’s a hard look at Haiti’s spiraling chaos and the U.S.’s half-billion-dollar misstep with Kenyan intervention. Spoiler: gangs are winning, and the future looks bleak. On Ukraine, I discuss the harsh reality of their uphill battle, the nuclear tightrope Biden’s had to walk, and why Europe’s refusal to step up disgusts me—especially given the war is on their soil. Finally, I touch on the re-ignited Syrian Civil War before wrapping it up. It’s a global whirlwind of analysis, frustrations, and hard truths. Buckle up and enjoy!…
"Can Solar and Geothermal Fully Power Your Home? Plus, the Truth About Electric Cars" In this episode of The Blindspot , I sit down with my buddy Garry to tackle a fascinating question: Is it really feasible to power and heat your home entirely with solar energy and geothermal heat? We dive deep into the nitty-gritty of these technologies, exploring their practicality, cost-effectiveness, and what it takes to make them work. Our conversation naturally shifts to another hot topic—electric cars. Are they truly the future of transportation? Can they live up to the hype in terms of affordability, convenience, and sustainability? This episode is packed with insights and thought-provoking ideas. If you're curious about renewable energy, electric vehicles, or just enjoy a lively discussion, you won't want to miss it. I had a blast recording this one, and I hope you enjoy it just as much!…
On today’s episode of The Blindspot , I talk about what happens next now that President-elect Trump has won reelection. I explain why I think it will be bad in many ways, discuss the differences between policy and personality, and make the case that Trump, by either intent or nature, is a wannabe dictator. I outline what I expect to happen when he assumes office and present a provisional case against him. Enjoy!…

With just ten days left until Election Day and the race neck and neck, today’s episode of The Blindspot dives into the cracks in Kamala Harris’s campaign strategy. Motivated by a low-key panic, I lay out the missteps: from her missed opportunity to go on Joe Rogan’s podcast to a muddled messaging strategy and dodging key questions that demand clear answers. And on top of it all, there's her failure to break meaningfully from the President when it matters most. I break down what a campaign needs to do in these final days to secure a win, and why her team might be struggling to get it right. Enjoy!…

On the latest episode of *The Blindspot*, I’m joined by my favorite Uber driver, Richard, at Willington Pizza to dig into the upcoming election and the state of American politics. We cover my curious connection to Hunter Biden’s crack mule, discuss issues like tribalism, government financial mismanagement, immigration, and why everything feels so messed up. What begins as a casual chat turns into a thoughtful exchange on the country’s biggest challenges. Enjoy!…

On today’s episode of The Blindspot, I tackle the 2024 election, which is so close that predicting a winner feels impossible right now. With just three weeks to go, Democrats are in full-blown panic mode, especially as new polling shows a significant drop in nonwhite support. With the clock ticking, there’s no time left to course-correct—they're stuck with the choices they've made. I dig into why this shift could be a game-changer, offer my take on how it happened, and explore the bigger implications for the Democratic Party's future messaging. Enjoy!…

Recently, acclaimed author Ta-Nehisi Coates appeared on *CBS Sunday Morning* to promote his new pro-Palestine book, *The Message*, but found himself in the crosshairs of Tony Dokoupil's sharp questions. Smelling the controversy like a vulture drawn to rotting meat, I couldn’t resist diving in headfirst. In this episode, I break down the heated exchange, unpack the shifting dynamics of the Middle East, reflect on the twists in American policy over the past year, and share my unfiltered thoughts on what’s really going on — and where the pundits in my life are nailing it or missing the mark. Buckle up and enjoy the ride.…

Today on The Blindspot, I examine Israel's increasingly bloody conflict with Hezbollah in Lebanon, including the assassination of Hezbollah's leader, Hasan Nasrallah. I explore the key motivations behind the decisions being made by various actors and break down what the U.S. should or shouldn’t do in response. From there, I delve into the larger themes of geopolitics, war, and the obligations that nations have to their citizens—and the obligations citizens have to their nations. Expect a lot of hot takes and unfiltered analysis. Enjoy!…

In this episode of The Blindspot, I cut through the noise to tackle how wars actually end, focusing on the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas. There’s this notion floating around that wars end neatly when everyone just decides they’ve had enough, but that's a load of crap—wars end when one side surrenders, or both parties agree to a ceasefire because they’re too exhausted to keep going. I break down why the U.S. isn’t willing to leverage its full power on either side, especially with a presidential election just around the corner. We also dive into the harsh realities of international law, and why in this situation, it doesn’t hold the weight you might wish it did. We explore how Hamas and Hezbollah's tactics are rooted in their own goals, and why Israel’s response isn’t just reactionary but calculated. I dissect Israel’s precision strike with the infamous pager attack on Hezbollah and explain why, despite moral outrage, there's a brutal logic to these moves. If you think war is black and white, this episode will shake that up. Whether you're pro-ceasefire, pro-Israel, or just trying to make sense of this bloody mess, I'm here to lay out the uncomfortable truths you need to hear.…

On today's episode of The Blindspot, I break down the recent Presidential debate between Vice President Harris and former President Trump. I share my thoughts on who I think won, who the nation thinks won, and what both candidates were aiming to achieve—or should have been. Along the way, expect plenty of tangents, from what you should really be watching for in a Presidential debate to the politics surrounding abortion, immigration, and other key issues of the day. Enjoy!…
