In this episode of Better for America, Rebecca Weber is joined by Congressman Barry Loudermilk, who represents Georgia's 11th congressional district, to discuss recent findings regarding the January 6th Select Committee and what the Democrats don't want you to know about it. Loudermilk highlights newly obtained transcripts that reveal key discrepancies in the official narrative about the National Guard’s role on January 6th. As he explains, "Once we got these transcripts, and we were able to identify... Donald Trump did order the National Guard ready." Despite claims from the Department of Defense that the Guard was not prepared, the transcripts show that they were ready for deployment early on the morning of January 6th, contradicting the official report. Loudermilk further sheds light on the chain of command and the ongoing debate about responsibility between President Trump and then-Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi. He asserts that Pelosi's initial delay was due to political considerations, as she did not approve National Guard assistance until after the Capitol had already been breached because she and the Democrats didn’t like the optics of having the National Guard present. Additionally, Loudermilk points to testimony from General Mark Milley, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and a known critic of Trump, who confirmed under oath that Trump had ordered the National Guard to be ready for deployment in a January 3rd phone call, further exonerating him."
