The radio play “Mutiny on the Bounty” dramatizes the true story of the famous mutiny aboard the HMS Bounty. The plot centers around the conflict between Lieutenant William Bligh and his crew, led by Fletcher Christian.

In 1787, the Bounty sets sail from England to Tahiti to collect breadfruit plants. The crew, initially excited about the journey, soon grows discontented due to Bligh’s harsh discipline and the long months at sea. Upon reaching Tahiti, the crew enjoys the island’s paradise-like conditions and forms relationships with the natives.

However, when it’s time to leave, the crew’s morale plummets as they face Bligh’s strict regime once again. Tensions reach a breaking point, leading to a mutiny led by Fletcher Christian.
