In a different way, Tom is Jake’s brother, but he’s also a Yeerk pretending to be his brother. What is this book (and the series generally) trying to tell us about performance?? Better question, why does no one send telegrams any more? Has anyone ever seen a fly on an airplane? If the Animorphs acquire human morphs without consent, is that as bad as what the Yeerks are doing by infesting humans? Should the Animorphs also be an improv comedy team??
