SEASON 3; Episode 7:
Welcome to Mature Allure.
Would you like to know how to keep your children safe, protect them from danger and equip them with the knowledge and confidence they need to outwit predators? How likely is it that your children will be abused and who are the predators most likely to be?
In this episode, I meet CJ Scarlet, the Badass Grandma. CJ Scarlet is a danger expert, parenting coach, survivor advocate and herself a survivor of childhood mollestations and sexual assault. She has served as an executive director of a child advocacy center for abused children and as Director of Victims Issues for the NC Attorney General’s Office. She is also the author of several books that aim to turn your children into savvy badasses.
“When children are told it's not their fault and they get the help they need, they're very resilient, they can bounce back. It's when we don't tell, it's when we don't get help that we pay the price.”
“Predators are looking for people who don't have confidence. Confidence is the number one predator repellent.”
