I am delighted to introduce you to Sheryl D. Victorian, Ph.D., the Chief of Police at the Waco Police Department. She is an outstanding professional who has made a significant impact in her local community of Waco, Texas, as well as beyond. Her dedication and commitment to public safety are remarkable, and her colleagues and the community highly respect her. Dr. Victorian is truly an inspiration to us all, and we are fortunate to have her serving in this important role.
"I have known since I was 15 that I wanted to be a police officer. To be fully transparent, the glamour of the original television show, Miami Vice, featuring Don Johnson as Sonny Crockett, and Philip Michael Thomas as Ricardo Tubbs, propelled my interest in becoming an undercover police officer. My initial reasoning may have been somewhat vain, but I was enthralled with being able to arrest individuals for committing crimes while acting as if I was in "the game." Early on in my law enforcement career, I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to live my dream of working undercover for over eleven years and, afterward, expanding my policing resume, which has helped me to accomplish so much more."
