The layman's definition of 'friendship' we knew during the dark ages was simply platonic in all gender till the world started to evolve to terms like 'friends with benefit,' 'friend zone,' and the actual term friend became utterly complicated than we could imagine. To save us the heck of ambiguity of what these terms mean especially in the wake of western culture, we have defined what these different categories of relationships mean.
