The Internet at The Speed of Light - Part 1
Access to data is critical to our daily lives. It is said that every day, 2.5 quintillion bytes of data is created. Google processes more than 20 petabytes of data daily, which includes 3.5 billion search queries.
5G technology can increase data transmission speed by up to 100 times, and decrease latency from 20 milliseconds to one millisecond. As technology continually evolves, it is safe to say that the way we transmit and receive data will need to evolve too.
I recently spoke with Alistair Banham and Bill Galione, from pureLifi and Randy Phifer of Getac. We discussed what I consider a game changer in wireless connectivity called LiFi.
pureLiFi is one of the companies that is bringing the next generation of wireless communications to the market. LiFi uses light rather than radio frequencies to transmit data and promises to augment, enhance, or transform wireless networks with the market's most secure and reliable wireless communications.
