Oftentimes, when we are giving what is best for our kids and family, we always forget to see our own values. This directly correlates to self-sabotage, feeling not being enough, not achieving our own personal goals, and even not taking time to center ourselves & investing time in improving our mindset, and worst, not thinking that we deserve better.

Because of these limiting beliefs we unconsciously attract things we don't deserve and worse, we don't get what we always want such as: a partner, a great lifestyle and abundant financial status, a good career path, and better understanding of our parenting style.

In this episode of #SoloNanayDilemma, I have invited an awesome mentor, my yoga teacher, a fitness Rockstar, and to whom I will always say, a real-to-goodness person! She is exceptional and really courageous in sharing her true self to others, sharing her values in letting go of those negative energies. Never afraid to show her beliefs, Odette Mills.

Questions Asked:

  1. Why do think moms – especially single moms – suffer from devaluing themselves?
  2. What do you think are the reasons why Solo Moms are struggling when it comes to finding their own values? How does it correlate to not having time or making time in doing a healthy lifestyle for themselves?
  3. You said in one of your posts about Shiva being a Destroyer or Transformer and from it, you said that you learned that Shiva’s story exemplifies Courage, Detachment and such. Could you share that learnings to us and how do you think this relates to some of Solo Moms having a loose sight of ourselves?
  4. You have been a Yogi teacher for years and you taught a lot of people and for sure you changed their lives just like me. Have you ever experienced your life where you also questioned your capability and value as a person or as a single mom? How do you overcome it? What are the things you did in order to overcome and go where you are now?
  5. What do you think are the things that Solo Moms could do to learn how to value themselves better?
