Until then, enjoy the fresh 021 issue "Between heaven and earth" 02.Embliss - Don't Let Go (Original Mix) and 03.Embliss - Stronghold (Original Mix) Tim Brandwijk is a man of many talents. Operating out of his Dutch homeland under his Embliss production guise, Tim has been responsible for a plethora of highly regarded works after graduating with a degree in Musical Technology in the early part of his career. Preferring to shun the traditional labels associated with dance music, Embliss' production work has shifted effortlessly between "progressive house, trance and breaks" providing a constant evolutionary process. With work signed to label goliaths such as Armada, Silk and Dutch compatriot, Eelke Kleijn's "Outside The Box", Tim's work for the Proton family has always been multi-faceted. The "Mind Over Matter" monthly showcase has delivered more than 50 episodes on Proton Radio while also providing a standout moment for the "Proton Compiled and Mixed" series; 10 releases on the Particles label have witnessed the Embliss silky touch, including 2012's superb "Oreon" EP with UK producer Ad Brown. Moreover, 2013 also saw Tim's influence behind the Proton scenes grow as he joined the crew as an engineer and software developer. Now, partnered by Ben Mautner's stunning artwork, Proton Music is delighted to present the new 2013 production face of Embliss with a debut solo EP for the label entitled, "Stronghold". Reflecting a subtle new contemplative approach to his music, the title track immediately demonstrates a darker, stripped back sound. Embliss' ubiquitous sense of rhythm and melodic sensibility can still be heard but a deep, groove-laden bass line holds sway beneath a ticking hi-hat pattern and a delicately woven riff, filtered over softly pulsing pads. This is the sound of a producer with a maturing sense of aural awareness. Partner track, "Don't Let Go" continues the dark, stripped theme of its predecessor and is a perfect accompaniment. A huge modulated bass line and deep kick drum dominate to provide a stunning house groove while a female vocal cut and sizzling percussion provide further expert evidence of the track's genetic make-up. "Don't Let Go" is the perfect illustration of a track transforming the sound of modern house music and Embliss' skill at creating fresh and innovative approaches to accepted musical standards. Two new tracks from Embliss have certainly fortified the Duchman, providing a "Stronghold" for further dance floor domination. Alexander's devilishly delicious vocals ride along a smooth electronic pulse of rhythm. The original lays down a slow but excellent groove and Paramour rocks out two dubbed-out deep house remixes. Adrian has already released tracks on Southpark very interesting, his style is really great for us and now is one of the best artists of our label. This new track "Glassy" is proof of the talent of Adrian. The track includes a fantastic glass instrument that makes this song so sweet! In this release nr.049 there's a great original mix and a powerful remix of Kenny Ground. Out the 30th april 2013 on Beatport, stay tuned and thanks to all for your support! 08.E-Spectro, Hells Kitchen - Chronicles (Original Mix) Per-vurt Records Presents E-Spectro and Hells Kitchen. The Duo's first signe dEP on the label delivers a massive Progressive Technowish two tracks EP titled "Chronicles". "Mentalism" features a Deep Progressive Bassline topped with trippy and dreamy synth lines, notes, and emotional atmosphere. A story teller track with an amazing arpeggiated melody.The other track on the EP "Chronicles" follows the same spectrum, with yet another story board, all happening on the same "plateau". This is by far one of the best releases on the label this season.11.Peter Illias & Ad Brown - For This Moment (Fon.Leman Remix) Silk veterans Peter Illias (Slovakia) and Ad Brown (UK) have teamed up for Arrival's latest release, "For This Moment". Peter Illias most recently appeared on Arrival with his remix of Ninesh Babu feat. LaMeduza's "Carry On," which was featured on our "Progressive Essentials 01" compilation. Ad Brown is the internationally acclaimed co-host of our "Silk Royal Showcase" radio show and also continues to make regular appearances on our various divisions, most recently with "Apsara," a collaboration with Anushka De'sai. On remix duties for "For This Moment," we are thrilled to welcome back Fon.Leman. The original mix quickly establishes a unique, firm groove with a lush, deep bassline and refreshing sound effects. Soon, a stunning synths appears, which is supported by background pad layers and a gorgeous female vocal stem. In the break, a truly immense soundscape is presented, in which a piano line and string layers combine beautifully. The main theme lead continues hereafter, which plays extremely well with the well-crafted percussion elements. Russian artist Fon.Leman returns to Arrival after his "Parallel Worlds" EP in November. Over the past year, he has become a fixture on Above and Beyond's "Group Therapy," as well as other globally recognized radio shows. His remix starts off with a hard-hitting rhythm and energetic synth stabs, with supporting arpeggio melodies underneath. Numerous sound effects spice up the atmosphere, and multiple new melodies are continuously added to the mix. The break features a piano line, supported by various string layers and the main theme lead. The latter continues thereafter, during the energetic latter-half of the track.
