Topics on society, culture and things that troubles us. That we may not understand so, we're going to have conversations about issues that will make you uncomfortable, so that you may grow beyond them. From the streets to the pulpit no one is excluded yet, everyone is included. There comes a time in everyone's life where we have to revisit places and things of discomfort. I encourage you to come and talk with me and my family and maybe, just maybe you can find healing and closure in our dysfunction. In lew of everything that's going on, I believe that conversations have to be had if change is going to come. I also believe that equality and humanity are on the same plane as love and unity. If everyone loves or serves GOD then how did we become so disconnected? As adults we teach our kids or youth, this day in age we may actually learn something for our youth. Aside from the things that we don't understand (i,e the skinny jeans that sags, the music that ONLY they understand). The one thing that they have gotten correct so far is equality and unity. As for us older people these request aren't new, the words just travel further with ALL of GOD's children chanting in unison. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/iammrquick/support…

I know there's been lots of events that has taken place since last we've spoken. I know that emotions are running high. I want you to know that, we are listening and we want to help. Let's sit down and come up with an effective plan together. After we have organize, stratigize, mobilize and excersice. BUT we first must know why. Please tell me WHY. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/iammrquick/support…

There's so many things that we take for granted. We're typically thankful for the good things that takes place in our lives. What about the things that we're taking into consideration such as, when we're rescued from a situation, when we fall asleep and run late instead of leaving on time and end up in a car pile up? So do we concider the "bad" events as the goodness of GOD? Are we thankful without foresight? Disclaimer: From the streets to pulpit DOES NOT own the rights to ANY of the music or it's likeness. Some time ago there was an episode about who's really in control. There has been a series of events that has taken place that hardly received any air time although it's very news worthy. All we've been hearing about is covid and lies. There has been numerous black people that has been murdered that hasn't been getting and recognition as though the lost of their lives isn't news worthy. Tonight we're speaking as parents. Tuck the children in, it's about to get real. I ran across a clip from an old show that aired from 1974 -1983. The content of this show had an episode called "The Wisdom of Solomon." This particular show had content that's very relative to today's time. The first half of this clip has the classroom teacher, of what seems to be early grade school, asking the students to write an essay about the things they "dislike the most." Solomon being played by a black American boy says that he dislikes "being a nigger" the most. Then in a later scene Solomon is explaining himself to I'm guessing his friend's father. The exchange clearly cause some commotion, not only did Solomon provide the necessary truth, noting that if he were white his father would still be alive. He later supported his statement with the following exchange this is Solomon: tell me something sir, would you like to live to be 100? the guy: (responds) I'm sure I would. It's not very likely... I guess all of us would like to live to a ripe old age. Solomon: (then ask) would you rather be black and live to be 100 or white and live to be 50? No one wants to answer that question not even his screen counterpart who just walked out. I guess my questions to everyone is 1. What do you dislike the most? 2. Although my shoes are comfortable for me to walk in, would want to walk in my shoes? --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/iammrquick/support…

I believe that we as a people have our obligations and loyalties in the wrong places. There's not a rule that says because you're of a certain race that your obligation is ONLY to them. You loyalty is now questioned, because you've moved, graduated or elevated. Why am i a sellout because i moved to a different community? Why am i disloyal because we don't share the same issues? Could it be that i'm loyal to my happiness? Could it be that i'm obligated to my current or future situation? --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/iammrquick/support…

Sometimes an individual with legit mental health issues forgets to take or goes off his or her medication(s). And sometimes there may be a chemical imbalance so the doctor will give them a prescription for the meds that balances this chemical out. What diagnosis or what medication is there for monsterous act like walking in an civilian occupied dwelling and opening fire? Our prayers goes out to the victims and families that was affected by these monsterous acts. We now have put those shooters in the same category as someone with bipolar,PTSD, multiple personality disorder, how is that? Since when did we as a country use mental health as a cover up for hate and terror? If it was a person of color the acts would have been labeled something different and the statements would have covered an entire group. So should the sick individauls that spew and spread hate via media outlets including the news be held liable? --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/iammrquick/support…

We weren't created to live by ourselves, in our own universe. We were created to build tribes, communities, relationship. We are meant to help each other be the best person(s) that we can be. Be each other's eyes when we lose sight, help them up when they're down. There's nothing that an individual can do by themselves and live long term. We as humans were designed and/or created to work with someone, we're mean't to work together. The term brother/sister is an obligation not a title. It is equally important the relationship as it is the responsibility. We must help each other, love one another.... I am your keeper... I'm your brother. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/iammrquick/support…

In our kids life the foundation is the most important part of their life. During this time we teach them who they are and who they will become. This is commonly know as the informative years. The assignment was given by God (the source) and the control is given to the parents. If we don't control the direction of the flow (hose) the water will go any and every where. We as parents have control the faucet and the hose. If we don't someone else will, and we can't guarantee that they will teach the same as the parents. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/iammrquick/support…

I hear this often and I'm sure that you do to. It is what it is, what are we actually saying? Are we saying oh well, I guess I'll just take the situation as it is? Are we giving up? It really seems like we're just letting our current situation get the best of us and not longer want to "fight" to change it. If that's the mindset that we have, could that be the reason that our situation hasn't changed last week, last month, last year hell last generation. If you don't fight for your improvement then who will? --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/iammrquick/support…

There's not too many things that can change a mood. In fact there are 171,476 words that are in the english language. And 47,156 words that are obsolete. And then there's that one word that can change the mood, tone, conversation if use by a the wrong person. And now the system says you can't say this, you can't say that. This is offensive. This isn't nice or politcally correct. Out of ALL the things that you shouldn't call someone (midget, fag, dyke) because people find it offensive and they have even taken it off of television and then there's the N-word. That's not offensive anymore...SAYS WHO??? --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/iammrquick/support…

I have days when I don't want to speak to anyone else. I don't have enough energy to lay down. My body is too tired to hold itself up, not to mention chase kids. We ALL have been to or already at this point. ALL i want to tell you is "you're not alone." There's plenty more that share simular sentiments. We ALL get tired. We ALL give out. Do you feel like a victim to your spiraling thoughts? Do you often fall prey to toxic thinking patterns like victimhood, anxiety and distraction? The enemy of our souls is determined to make us feel helpless, overwhelmed, and incapable of making a difference. It doesn't have to be that way! Get out of your head. Humanity needs each and everyone of us to embrace and practice human decency, to love and care for one another. Take the time to get to know that person that doesn't resemble you. Please enact your compassion in this time that we're in. People may lash out out, understand it's out of uncertainty and fear, overlook it and remind them that we're ALL in this together. Brothers and sisters we must take it back from the enemy and return to our natural place and positions. There's strength beneath it all. No toxicity, ONLY affirmations. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/iammrquick/support…

We're in a place in time where it's time for us to band together. more now than any other time. when the enemy see us divided, he can be more victorious, he can conquer more. we gotta come together and unite on every level spiritually, physically and by saying physically, i mean being neighborly, being humane to one another, helping each other out. this is not a time for us to be divided because of our differences our financial situations, or our positions in society or what have you. Mike Tyson couldn't have won without his cornor, Michael Jordan couldn't have won without his teammates. we gotta come together and there's no finer time than now. we don't know what to believe as far as was being put out in the media. what we do know and we can stand firm on is the presence of god and his word. so that being said is time for 2 more together in his name so will he'll be in the midst. in unison let us say this too shall pass. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/iammrquick/support…
