In our first episode of Goomba & Hick, we discuss how our paths crossed and how music brought us together. We also poke fun at our backgrounds. Steve Moretti, aka “Goomba” comes from a stereotypical large Italian family from New Jersey. He moved to California when he was 7 and lost his accent, so it was natural making fun of his family and the way they “TAWLK!” Steve has resided in Macon, Georgia for 15 years. Josh Carson, aka “The Hick,” was born and raised in Macon. He’s a certified financial planner by day and a very talented singer/songwriter by night. He too can turn on the accent poking fun at that southern drawl!We had a lot of fun putting this together, goofing around while also sprinkling some info on how to think about achieving financial stability, with some small steps to get there. We also dove into our music backgrounds - not completely! We’ll dive deeper in the next episode and also go through the process of writing and recording a theme song for the podcast.We hope you enjoy!
