Barry first found music when he borrowed his sister's record collection when he was about eight and was hooked. When Caroline started it was a new beginning, and he listened to all the stations, but Caroline was his favourite by far. Later he became a singer in a band, then started doing discos when he was 18. Acid ambient music for our souls. EST 1998. From space and time, traversing the primordial depths of the spiritual universe, the transmission waves of the past reach us, revealing divine moments of truth. deepgoa About It all started in 1998 with the P2P platform Audiogalaxy and our Goatrance group DEEP-GOA Club (Switzerland). There we discovered, released and shared countless albums with our 800 group members. After the shutdown of Audiogalaxy, we had a short stay in Soulseek 2003-2004, then we discovered P2P Direct Connect, where we could build & connect several international PtokaX hubs http://www.ptokax.org/ (located in Sweden, Germany, Netherlands, Austria and Switzerland) to a P2P network. The DSNETWORK (Deep Space Network, based on the NASA programme) was born. At the peak of the DSNetwork, we had around 3,000 people connected to our network every day. And again we shared TBs of music. Due to the technical complexity (LUA scripts, multichat, hub rules, hardware, etc.) and the emergence of new platforms such as MySpace, SoundCloud and other streaming services, new technologies such as smartphones, etc., the Direct Connect DSNETWORK slowly disintegrated. And we got older too. In 2007 we started our project on Wordpress called DEEPGOAs electronic sessions. Preparing and creating a daily global guide to electronic music (DJ sets & mixes, promos, news and creative commons netlabel releases) was a challenge that lasted until mid-2010. (After more than 5.5 million visitors, about 13'000 daily visitors, Wordpress was not amused :) https://deepgoa.wordpress.com is dead. Today it's quieter... but we're still alive.
