When a young Eva Kollisch arrives as a refugee in New York in 1940, she finds a community among socialists who share her values and idealism. She soon discovers ‘the cause’ isn’t as idyllic as it seems. Little does she know this is the beginning of a lifelong commitment to activism and her determination to create radical change in ways that include belonging, love and one's full self. In addition to Eva Kollisch’s memoirs Girl in Movement (2000) and The Ground Under My Feet (2014), LBI’s collections include an oral history interview with Eva conducted in 2014 and the papers of Eva’s mother, poet Margarete Kolllisch, which document Eva’s childhood experience on the Kindertransport. Learn more at www.lbi.org/kollisch . Exile is a production of the Leo Baeck Institute , New York | Berlin and Antica Productions . It’s narrated by Mandy Patinkin. Executive Producers include Katrina Onstad, Stuart Coxe, and Bernie Blum. Senior Producer is Debbie Pacheco. Associate Producers are Hailey Choi and Emily Morantz. Research and translation by Isabella Kempf. Sound design and audio mix by Philip Wilson, with help from Cameron McIver. Theme music by Oliver Wickham. Voice acting by Natalia Bushnik. Special thanks to the Kollisch family for the use of Eva’s two memoirs, “Girl in Movement” and “The Ground Under My Feet”, the Sophia Smith Collection at Smith College and their “Voices of Feminism Oral History Project”, and Soundtrack New York.…

×If you're looking to boost your social media engagement, the biggest player right now is Instagram. If you follow any of Bublé's social media accounts, especially Instagram, you definitely know his signature style. If you’ve been living under a rock, and haven’t seen any of them, I’d take a few minutes today to look at Bublé's Instagram account, @MichaelBuble. There you’ll see hilarious photos of the past tour and hundreds of the dressing room concerts that Michael and his band perform before each of his shows around the world. Today we are speaking with Tory Class, who is a great friend of mine, and she has managed Bublé's social networks while touring for the last 5 years. Thanks to Tory’s unique social media strategy, Bublé has been called “The only celebrity worth following” by Inspire52 Online, and even won the “Best fan engagement” award at the CBC Music Awards. Today, Tory will be sharing with us how she developed this truly “rock star” strategy (see videos below), and how you can up your Instagram game. Branding has almost become a buzzword nowadays because we are seeing it everywhere. We know branding is important- probably the most important- aspect of our marketing, but it can also be the most daunting. How many of us have branded our business, and rebranded, and then rebranded again, still not happy or satisfied with the way we are portraying ourselves and our company? Branding is what shows our clients who we are, what we offer, and the quality of work they can expect from us. So why is it so hard to nail down our branding strategy? In today's podcast, we are speaking with Jessica Ringor, who will be sharing with us what it means to have a signature style, how we can create a consistent brand across all aspects of our business. Jessica founded the wedding cinematography company, LoveSpun Films (http://lovespunfilms.com), and her signature style is so well known in her industry that LoveSpun has actually become an adjective for wedding professionals around the world. In fact, her branding style has even catapulted her industry fame, speaking at conferences around the world. Her unique & beautiful films have been featured in Elle UK Magazine, Style Me Pretty, Martha Stewart Weddings, Today’s Bride Magazine, and many more.
