Welcome to the What's Next! podcast with Tiffani Bova.
This week I am thrilled to welcome Stephen Shedletsky to the What’s Next Podcast! Stephen leads Brand Experience and lead igniter at Simon Sinek, Inc. He ensures that every product, partnership, and communication reflect the organization’s most deeply-held beliefs. As an Igniter himself, Stephen is first in line to support those who seek to discover, articulate, and bring their WHY to life. With a knack for sharing the right words at the right moment, he delivers evidence-based content in a provocative, captivating, and light-hearted way. Stephen joined Simon Sinek’s team in 2012, answering fan email.
THIS EPISODE IS PERFECT FOR… anyone looking to be inspired, find their “why,” and pivot themselves and/or their businesses into a purpose-driven, fulfilling venture in this strange new world!
TODAY’S MAIN MESSAGE… Stephen is all about inspiring people to live their purpose and live more fulfilled life. It’s very powerful when you can move around and through your purpose, or your vision of what you are trying to create! Earlier this year, the world seemed to change overnight… and suddenly we all needed to pivot rapidly. Stephen and the team at Simon Sinek immediately took to their task of creating–and helping others create–a safer, more inspired, and more fulfilled world in a NEW way. Like the rest of us, they knew they needed to reinvent themselves, their jobs, and their business models… Stephen explains that it wasn’t, and shouldn’t be, about individual credit. It’s all about improvement and cooperation. He also breaks down some of the work he and others are doing at Simon Sinek to help others jumpstart their “why” and articulate their purpose, identify the difference between confidence and arrogance, and internalize the power and process of the pivot! He also dives into finite vs infinite and which side the “game of business” falls.
WHAT I LOVE MOST… It’s not just about pivoting your company, but pivoting yourself and it’s not a game of credit, it’s a game of improvement!
