Olivia launched Tandem in 2019, as a free platform that connects families with caregivers based on the core values of communication, respect, and performance. As with most businesses, the COVID-19 pandemic significantly impacted Tandem. With children learning remotely, the need for childcare skyrocketed, while Tandem faced a shortage of workers to fill the jobs.
