Charles Kelley is a Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter, and musician best known as the lead vocalist of the multi-platinum country music trio Lady A. Born on September 11, 1981, in Augusta, Georgia, Kelley developed a passion for music early, performing with his brothers and writing songs in his teens. After graduating from the University of Georgia, he moved to Nashville, where he co-founded Lady A (formerly Lady Antebellum) in 2006 with Hillary Scott and Dave Haywood.

Lady A quickly rose to fame with their 2008 debut album, which included the hit "Love Don't Live Here." Their breakthrough came with the 2009 album Need You Now, featuring the iconic title track that won five Grammy Awards, including Record of the Year and Song of the Year. The group has since released multiple chart-topping albums, earning numerous CMA, ACM, and Billboard Music Awards while solidifying their status as country music superstars.

Beyond Lady A, Kelley has pursued solo projects, releasing his 2016 album The Driver, which earned a Grammy nomination. As a songwriter, he's penned hits for artists like Darius Rucker and Luke Bryan.

In recent years, Kelley has been open about his personal journey, including his battle with sobriety, which has influenced his music and deepened his connection with fans. Known for his soulful voice and dynamic stage presence, Kelley continues to push creative boundaries, whether with Lady A or in his solo endeavors.
