Katie White hails from Saskatchewan, Canada. She is the author of Unlocked, Softening the Edges, and Student Self-Assessment, and the co-author of Concise Answers to Frequently Asked Questions About Assessment and Grading (with Nicole Dimich, Cassandra Erkens, Jadi Miller, and Tom Schimmer). She is a highly sought after consultant.

Before the conversation, Shannon reflects on another high school educator who was the very essence of compassion and inclusion.
