As the saying goes, “the grass is always greener on the other side.” If that’s the case, how can you tell if it’s time to find a new financial advisor or if you’re just imagining things might be better elsewhere?

Alan and Troy talk through when and why you might want to find another financial advisor and when it might make more sense to stay with the advisor you have.

Here are some of the reasons people tend to wonder if they should switch advisors:

  • My financial advisor made a mistake, should I leave? (1:28)
  • My financial advisor’s business seems too big, and I don’t get to talk to him. (5:52)
  • I went to a dinner seminar, do I need to make a change? (8:49)
  • I like my advisor, but I moved out of state. (12:06)
  • I lost a ton of money in my portfolio in a market crash. (14:10)
