November 24. 2024 I WANT TO BE BLESSED BY GOD “For he gives his sunlight to both the evil and the good, and he sends rain on the just and the unjust alike.” Matthew 5:45 1. BELIEVE GOD WANTS TO BLESS YOUR LIFE “And God blessed them.” Genesis 1:28 “For the eyes of the Lord move side to side, backward and forward throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His.” 2 Chronicles 16:9 “For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed.” Romans 8:18 “Blessed is the person who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life” James 1:12 2. THE BLESSED LIFE IS ALGINED WITH GOD’S WORD “Blessed is the person who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on His law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. IN ALL THAT HE DOES HE PROSPERS.” Psalm 1:1-3 3. CONSISTANT BLESSINGS COME WITH CONSISTANT OBEDIENCE Deut. 11:8, “Keep the whole commandment that you may be strong” Deut. 11:26-28, “See, I am setting before you today a blessing and a curse: the blessing if you obey the commandments of the Lord your God…and the curse, if you do not obey…” Deut. 28:1, “And if you faithfully obey the voice of the Lord…God will set you high above all nations’ v.3 you will be blessed in the city v.4 your womb will be blessed, your fields, your cattle, your flocks v.5 your food supply v.6 all your coming and going v.7 above your enemies v.8 in all you undertake Extra reading: Psalm 5:12; 25:10; 115:13 Jesus said, “Teach others to OBEY ALL that I have commanded you” Matthew 28:20 “Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple. If you do,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, “I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in! Try it! Put me to the test!” Malachi 3:10 4. THE DEEPEST BLESSINGS ARE FOUND IN CONNECTION WITH CHRIST “Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing. 6 Anyone who does not remain in me is thrown away like a useless branch and withers. Such branches are gathered into a pile to be burned. 7 But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted! 8 When you produce much fruit, you are my true disciples. This brings great glory to my Father. 9 “I have loved you even as the Father has loved me. Remain in my love. 10 When you obey my commandments, you remain in my love, just as I obey my Father’s commandments and remain in his love. 11 I have told you these things so that you will be filled with my joy. Yes, your joy will overflow! John 15:5-11 Galatians 3:9, “So then, those who are of faith are blessed” Ephesians 1:3, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing…”
