In the 52nd episode of Be Real, I will be joined by Ray Hurst, an international speaker, pastor, writer, author, transformation coach & trainer. He owns Improving Life Action Plan (ILAP), a company who offers programs that are designed to help people accelerate, have life-changing breakthroughs, and get life transformations.

Ray grew up in a conservative Mennonite background. He was misunderstood a lot because he did not fit in with the social norms. To make matters worse he grew up in a single-parent home in a culture that did not know how to deal with dysfunctional families. He was severely traumatized by the series of tragedies that came into his life. He felt abandoned & rejected, and that’s a weight he carried until adulthood.

Five minutes before he was going to end his life, something rose up inside of him. He got so angry at the depression and felt like his head was going to explode and something broke inside of him. At that point, he knew he did not want to die anymore. He got tired of carrying the pressure of anger and bitterness. He realized that the negative thoughts are eating him whole and there’s nothing more left of him.

He had a huge realization that rocked his world, and he made life changing decisions where he had unprecedented spiritual and emotional transformation. He became a completely new person with a winning mindset and attitude. He is now helping other people to reshape their lives, and help them get out of the rough path of depression.

In this episode, Ray uncovers the techniques on how to convert traumas into something beautiful and unleash inner peace. He will share how he changes the way people think, and how to use the negative experiences as an advantage to have a better and happier life.

Make sure to grab a pen and paper so you could jot down the mini exercise we’ll be doing.
